A 33-year record and higher than national rate

 

New Jersey unemployment rate hits 10.1 percent

New Jersey's unemployment rate stands at a 33-year high of 10.1 percent as 2,300 more people lost their jobs in December.

The state's unemployment rate rose above the national rate of 10 percent for the first time since October 2006.
