An update on the snowstorm
Camden County crews have been out working all night clearing county roads. With the snowstorm over at 4 p.m. Feb. 6, Camden County Public Works crews fanned out across the county once again to clear the roads, using salt and de-icing techniques to clear all county roads down to blacktop by tomorrow morning. Snow totals ranged from 18-24 inches around the county.
It’s definitely going to be a deep-freeze overnight, with temperatures falling into the teens. We want to do our best to make sure county roads are in good condition by tomorrow morning. A state of emergency is still in effect overnight, which means we urge citizens not to do any unnecessary driving tonight so that our crews can clear the roads quickly and efficiently.
If all goes according to plan, it’s likely the county will lift the state of emergency sometime tomorrow morning. However, anyone out on the roads overnight should still exercise extreme caution.
Any residents with snow-related complaints on county roads can call the Public Works Department at 856-566-2980. Updates on the storm and more information about it are on our Website, www.camdencounty.com.
