Happy Thanksgiving Day to everybody. Don't eat too much but eat healthy and wise. Christmas is right around the corner — to coin a phrase — and there will be lots of eating then, too with family and friends.

Pine Barons in 13th Holiday Show  

 The Cherry Hill Pine Barons Chorus will "Ring in the Season with Song" at its 13th annual Holiday Show set for the St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Route 70 East in Cherry Hill at 2 and 7 p.m., Dec. 12. Musical guests will be the Cherry Hill High School West Chamber Singers.

Tickets are $12 for general admission, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students, and $8 for groups of 10 or more. Children under 6 are free.

'Ceremony of Carols' set by ChildrenSong   

ChildrenSong of New Jersey will celebrate its 10th anniversary with "Ceremony of Carols," its Christmas concert, at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Haddonfield, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. and 3 p.m., Dec. 6 at Christ the King Church, also Haddonfield. Maryann Meyer, principal harpist of Symphony in C, will accompany the selections from Benjamin Britten's "A Ceremony of Carols."   

ChildrenSong is a non-profit children's chorus from Haddonfield and enriches the musical education of 75 children in Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester counties. The choir program is taught by Polly Murray, artistic director, and vocal coach Patricia Januszewski.

Tickets are $15 at the door and $12 in advance for adults. Seniors and students pay $10. Children under 11 are free. Tickets may be purchased online at www.chldrensong.org or they may be reserved at 856-216-1140.  

 

 

Lunch with Santa at the firehouse 

The Barrington Fire Co. will be sponsoring "Lunch with Santa" from noon-3 p.m., Dec. 12 at the firehouse, Second and Haines Avenue.  

The cost is $10 and includes a picture with Santa and lunch for the kids. Adults may purchase additional food.

Have breakfast with Santa

The Cork Restaurant will host Breakfast with Santa, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Dec. 5. While the kids and their parents a buffet of hoiday food the Ovation Sugar Plum Fair Dancers will perform. Pictures with Santa right after breakfast.

Tickets are $24 for adults, $12 for children under and $5 for kids 2 and under.

 

Live Nativity scene

A live Nativity scene, presented by the children of the First Baptist Church in Haddonfield, will be presented at 7 and 7:30 p.m., Dec. 11 in front of the church on Kings Highway.

Live animals will be on the scene and cookies and hot cocoa will be served to everyone.
